Changing Education Through Inspiration
Did you know a person with Dyslexia typically has the ability to see the bigger picture more easily? When you think about someone with ADHD, do you look at them and notice how hyper-focused and amazing they are when they work on the things they love? Would you have guessed that a student with Dyscalculia can become a mathematician or a scientist? Join us in growing each child's gifts and abilities as out of the box thinkers to solve the problems of tomorrow.
Reimagine LD education across the nation through trainings, developing curriculum, and challenging traditional beliefs about LD education. We aim to raise the bar across the nation, not just at My City School.
Provide each child with the academic, social-emotional and life skill resources they need to keep future doors open for high school, and higher education they choose.
We see the potential and the unlocked gifts in each of our students and believe when these are allowed to grow in the right environments, children will blossom into who they want to be and will thrive.

My City School is an experience-based learning environment for middle school children for mild to moderate LD students who thrive in an environment that serves their kinesthetic, multi- sensory learning styles such as Dyslexia, ADHD, CAPD, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia. Our program delivers an individualized curriculum that teaches to and increases the capacity of each child's ability to learn. My City School allows the child to find their contribution in the world by sparking their motivation and interests, by providing individualized learning techniques that yield significant, measurable growth, and by incorporating strong social-emotional learning throughout the program.
My City School removes the stigma of learning differently, and embraces the gifts that come with each learning style. We balance the development of rigorous academic skills with experiential learning that extends beyond the classroom and into the community. Our learner's emerge ready for life with the opportunity to attend various college preparatory high schools as engaged learners, happy and ready to explore the world!
At My City School, students learn how they learn best and develop personal strategies they can bring to high school. Most importantly, students are given the targeted support they need to dramatically improve their academic skills, executive functioning, and work ethic. We know that providing opportunities for success builds confidence and motivation and in turn, students work harder. Our lessons are designed to meet each student where they are, and help them bridge the gap in their skills they need to be successful in high school. We teach self-advocacy, individualized accommodations and also include targeted skill-based and processing supports to help students finally overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Our intensive, rigourous program requires a level of emotional stability and often summer programming to allow for this transformational growth.
