Parent Support

Parents can feel alone  and overwhelmed by the educational journey learning differences require. We have monthly parent coffee support meetings and discuss topics such as:

• How do I talk to my child about his/her LD's?
• What do I do with this detailed assessment?
• I don't understand why I have to repeat myself so much...what am I doing wrong?
• What can I do at home that would make our lives easier as a family?
• How do I start the high school search?

External Support

Our team includes specialists who are experts at determining what outside support may be needed for each child's success. Some of our specialists have taught parents techniques to use at home to help bridge the gap to success. Others have the knowledge of who to refer a family to for services like visual perceptual support, occupational therapy and therapists specific for kids with LD's and/or AD/HD.
