Emergency Preparedness

At My City School we take every precaution to ensure a safe learning environment. Below are a list of our emergency procedures that are OSHA approved. Parents, please feel free to review these protocols and have all teachers phone numbers in your cell phone.

First Aid

MCS is equipped with First Aid to support minor and moderate injuries (scrapes, cts to light sprains)

If a moderate injury is incurred during the school day, parents will be called and an incident report will go home with the student.

If in the event medical attention may be needed, MCS will call for support, then call parents.

Earthquake

The Clubhouse is equipped with 3 Earthquake Kits (enough food and water to last 3 days for typical eaters - GF/Vegan are not included).
  • 1 bag in the kitchen
  • 2 bags are in the storage room
  • Additional first aid kits are in the TO GO backpack in the Storage room.
  • Additional first aid kit contents are located in the classroom drawers (below the bench with window).

MCS follows the CA standard of DROP, COVER and HOLD procedure.

If evacuation is necessary, and the Fulton Playground is deemed unsafe, all studnets and staff will proceed to Lindley Meadow, in Golden Gate Park.

Emergency Action and Fire Evacuation

In the event MCS needs to evacuate, due to a major Earthquake, all studnets and staff who are mobile will proceed on to the Fulton Playground and will wait for parent pick up.

If the Fulton Playground is deemed unsafe, all studnets and staff will proceed to Lindely Meadow and wait for parent pick up.
